This module is a big help

For ESP8266 Wifi Module Breakout, USB, 3.3V, Prog But.

The documentation on the website was a big help.
Experimenting with the AT commands was easy.
But i wanted to play with the SDK, so after a few changes to the configuration settings, i had my first program uploaded and running.
Thanks again for this board! It makes playing with the ESP8266 a lot easier.

PS: i did not contact the seller, so the rating about the communication is unknown, but i had to enter something.

Great little board - makes experimenting super-easy

For ESP8266 Wifi Module Breakout, USB, 3.3V, Prog But.

I am really impressed with this little board, it's really straightforward yet has some lovely design touches.

The little breadboard is just big enough and together fit really well.

The lack of through hole components means it sits well on my desk too!

The only tiny criticism is the silkscreen for the header pins is very small and could maybe line up with the pins better?

But overall I'd recommend this dev board 100% for anyone who wants to investigate this interesting chip, nice one Mathieu!

Funny you should mention the pinout on the silkscreen... I've spent quite some time trying to find a better way, without success unfortunately.

Works great!

For ESP8266 Wifi Module Breakout, USB, 3.3V, Prog But.

The breakout module works great - as expected.
It would be even nicer, if the ESP8266 could be removed from the action breakout board.
(This may not be possible with the SMD version of the board however)
One could then use it to prepare multiple modules for deployment.

Later on I actually thought I could maybe put 2x2.0mm headers close enough so they could have good electrical contacts with the esp8266.
However doing so may involve going with through hole headers as SMT ones wouldn't be positioned well enough.

High quality, does EXACTLY as advertised, a great component

For HB100 Doppler Speed Sensor - Arduino Compatible

A perfect solution for my arduino project, just apply 5V and you get a square wave output of the dopler shift, and an analog "signal strength" output. It's clean, seems both well designed and constructed. A little software to measure frequency and do some filtering and voila - speed measurement. It's coming from Hong Kong, so may take a few days to get to yah, but overall very well done.

No complaints, excellent product

Got this relatively quickly, given that it was sent from China (via Switzerland (?))

Was able to hook it up and see signal in less than two minutes. Very easy to interface with!

I'd love if next version included a frequency counter so one could just get a speed-to-voltage output going...

The perfect gift

For The Whistled - A Whistle Detection Device

I got two whistleds and built it into this floor uplight from IKEA (http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/10148925/). It was very easy to do (just put the whistled into the base - there is already a small opening built in - and laid the wires through the steel tube). The whistled is working like a charm even though it is now covered from the base. I kept one for myself and gave one to a friend of mine as a gift. I think the whistled makes the perfect gift as it is both functional and fun :)

I bought the whistled a while ago and I had soms problem with it. I contacted the seller about it and he responded within half an hout. His reaction about my problem was Super and the problem was solved. About the Whistled I can only say now...it does what it was designed for, it truly works great! The Whistled is responding very good on my whistles and it had not missed any whistle yet. Also the dimming works great, it works in small steps that are just enough

Very fun at parties

For The Whistled - A Whistle Detection Device

This controller is great, very easy to turn on, a fun challenge to change brightness. Fire truck sirens will activate it sometimes, as will music / talking. Makes me think the robot is listening, and enjoys certain topics! I'd like a version that reacted to laughter, or maybe angry voice tones. So many possibilities!

Works Great. Kids love it. Dogs, not so much.

I bought my Whistled with the LED strip, and it works great. My kids have enjoyed playing with it too -- they theorized, and confirmed, that they could trigger it with notes on the piano! My dogs, however, are confused with all the whistling. They come running when someone whistles the lights on or off...

HB100 breakout board

I received this in good condition. I haven't used this in an application but I did set it up on the bench for testing. The HB100 seems to have a fairly substantial integrator... or I'm assuming that's what it is. Maybe it's just a function of the device? I've never really worked with a detector like this before so maybe that's just how they respond? Interesting device and I can see a use for this in a project in the near future. Excellent product, I highly recommend this.

Fun idea, but not accurate enough for practical use.

For The Whistled - A Whistle Detection Device

It took over 5 weeks for my Whistled to arrive, which was a bit disappointing. I'm used to long delivery times from Hong Kong, but this was several weeks longer than usual.

I love the idea of the Whistled: a simple device you can whistle on, whistle off, and whistle to adjust brightness. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to pick up on my whistles very accurately. It often takes several whistles to get it to change on/off, and it frequently turns off when I'm trying to dim the brightness.

To make matters worse, my 2 year old daughter's voice turns the Whistled on and off. Occasionally other random noises turn it on/off, too, like the dishwasher, TV, and music.

So again, great idea, it just isn't accurate enough for practical use.

Hi!

I'm sorry it took a bit longer for you to receive the item. Swisspost was recently overloaded with an unusual amount of shipments from China to the rest of the world.
As for your experience with the whistled: have you tried positioning the whistled as described in the user manual? It often drastically improves performances. If it still doesn't work well, I'll gladly offer you a full refund as you're the first user not fully satisfied with the whistled.

Edit: 1 months after my reply, still no news from the buyer...

Fun and functional

For The Whistled - A Whistle Detection Device

I love my Whistled controller! With an LED strip installed as an under-counter light option in the living room, most nights we whistle our way into and out of the room. The Whistled has been the world's best night-light.

White noise like clapping and waves on television sometimes triggers the light, but that's a minor nuisance. In short, my roommate and I love it!

Works as expected, but you'll have to work a bit to find the most effective whistling pitch / melody.
