I have bought theese to play with the UWB localisation. The board itself is build well but the DW1000 is not really that amazing and the stated 200m range is like 30 in LOS or sometimes 50 when you try hard.

The one star down is for missing powerswitch and battery measurment and I think a slight overheating issue when powered from battery.

I love it! it's a perfect little clock for my desk

It's a tiny clock for a desk or office. programing it is a little strange(press and hold the H) and it does have some nice demos by pressing H. the micro usb comes out the side and is a pretty weak connection so be careful of that.

Well, it's ok

For ESPlay Micro V2

It works. I was able to load my favorite game boy games and play with no issues, the battery life is ok not great but ok. Saving and loading games works with no issues. I added a little bit of double sided tape to the back of the display or it will move in the housing. the buttons have silicone caps and that helps but any serious playing will hurt after a bit and I keep pressing the menu when I mean to press A. Overall it's a fun little portable to pass some time on the classics.

Great clock - I've got TWO now!

A fantastic clock!

The soldering will take you two minutes. There are no obvious instructions for setting the time but I found this on hackaday:

"press and hold both the H and M buttons simultaneously until "IT IS" goes out
H to set the hours M to set minutes (there no going back, only forward)
press them both again to exit out of this mode."

Pressing the M button will also adjust brightness.

Honestly one of the best things that I've purchased on Tindie. It has the absolute minimum amount of soldering to assemble. Overall functionality is great, save the already documented issue with the hour and minute buttons not being quite as responsive as I might like. Despite this, It's a great little clock that's ideal for a gift. The only major thing I would like to see would be an option to attach the USB connector in such a way that it projects toward the back since this would give some more options so far as mounting to some kind of frame is concerned- perhaps offering in a form where the connector is not soldered on to permit easy customization. The front PCB does diffuse the light into the adjacent letters a bit which might put off some folks, but I actually like the effect it produces. I might try making a new mask for the front out of something like etched brass or glass.

Quality device at a great price

For ESP32 3.5" TFT Touch(Capacitive) with Camera

Came in a few weeks (I’m in the UK) and is a very impressive device. I’m not using the camera or touch screen as I just need the esp32 and screen, so can only comment on those. The sample apps are pretty good for learning how to draw on the screen, and I got something custom working within half an hour.

Would definitely buy more of these, and I almost certainly will.

I'm really using this just to learn the intricacies of micropython. If I can get my act together, I have vague hopes of turning this into a small information portal near my front door, displaying temperature, time, subway and bus information.

But, really, the documentation could be a whole lot better. I've been a great deal of time in the first couple of weeks wondering how this spurious program appeared on the device, and better documentation would really have helped.

Loads of fun

I really like the thing.
You can play stuff out of the box, easy to program, has some GPIOs to hook up external stuff.
When not playing, it's a great micropython starter kit with basic user IO included, for unbeatable price.

Awesome little word clock

Assembly was simple, and it was up and running in minutes. The buttons sometimes don't respond on first press; I think there's a glitch with button detection in the code, probably a clock-timing thing. But with all the modes it has, and how great it looks, I would recommend this for anyone as a gift (to assemble or not). The only thing I'd like to see added would be an automatic time-setting option via usb or something. But that's only an issue until you get a battery for the RTC. Great little kit!

The instructions could be a little easier to locate, but other then that it is well worth the price and I would happily but other products from this seller in the future.

What a great little device but doesn't keep time well

For Small Word Clock Kit

First, I have to say how shocked I was to get this word clock for $10! I received the "kit" today and after soldering the (provided) header pins to the four corners of the board stack to hold everything together, it was ready to go. Soldering took less than 5 minutes. The build quality is fantastic and adding a backup battery (CR1220) was so easy with the solid battery holder on the back of the unit. The setup buttons are easily accessible while not detracting from the appearance of the clock. The clock works like a charm with all the features as described. The "animations" are a nice addition and the ability to change the brightness (at the cost of some light bleeding) is great. My little Word Clock is now powered by an unused USB port on my workbench and gives me the word time at a glance. Thanks Makerfabs for making this available at such a great price. BTW, it is a WORD clock, not a WORLD clock ;)

UPDATE June 2020: After running this clock for several months I now see that the time drifts, a LOT, to the point where it can be considered a toy but not a reliable clock. Too bad cause it looks great.

Works!! It is amazing but requires some expertise.

For Acoustic Levitator Kit

Tips: You will need at least a multimeter, a pen or some way to mark the polarity, a welder, more wires, some kind of glue (hot glue did not work for me) and a jumper pin.
It is important to check the transmitters polarity with the multimeter. Ralf of the transmitters in my kit was inverted.
You will need some welder expertise and some patience to glue the transmitters.
One last tip. The object to levitate needs to be smaller than half of the wave length. In practical terms smaller than 3 millimeters (0,12 inches).
