I was looking for a substitute PCB from the one I was using before which is no longer available when I stumbled on this PCB. It is better than what I was using before!!! Very easy to understand what to do even without documentation. I have found my new SNES pcb!!!

Working on 3 of these. I have some NES boards also. These are really well done. Nice layout, exceptional markings. These and the NES boards are pretty stunning quality Id like to know the fab house. Waiting on the eeproms but otherwise they are done.

Great board. Having trouble finding schematics

Pretty simple to put together, even for beginners

It looks great and works great too!

I was a bit worried since this was my first project using SMD components, but it turned out fine on my first try. If that is your case too, I suggest you watch a few videos on youtube about SMD soldering and go for it--don't be scared. :)

I couldn't agree more, people are scared of soldering smds for no reason, the soic chips this boards use are very easy to solder.

These adapter boards are great. As is described, it takes a bit of finesse to get these installed neatly but once they are they’re perfect.

Fantastic Boards

For 27C322 support SNES repro PCB build your own carts

These boards are my absolute favorite way to make hacks/repros/etc.

These are easy enough to build assuming you aren't scared of soldering a few mildly fine-pitched parts, but nothing on here is too daunting, and a little drop of liquid flux is all you need for the surface-mount parts if you don't get them right the first time (I never do).

Boards are clean, durable, and so far MrTentacle has shipped them to me quickly and well packaged. As soon as I can afford it I'm going to order another 10 or 20!

Great Adapter

These boards work well and are fairly easy to work with. Thanks for the great solution for the 27c322 chip!

Only thing that I think could be improved is the pin hole size for the 27c322. There’s quite a bit of space and the solder can flow through the hole to the other side too easily.

Excellent Board, Very Useful for Devs/Repro Making!

For SNES Breakout and lock defeater

Great board, this thing is a godsend for making repros as it lets you plug in test boards with ZIF sockets so you can quickly and easily test chips to see if they burned correctly or need to be re-burnt.

My only complaint is as follows: On the board the top cart slot is labeled "D" but the instructions for label "D" say "The LOWER cart connector (etc)" and the lower cart connector is labeled "B" and the instructions say "The UPPER cart connector". Obviously these are backwards and you should follow the printed instructions (upper connector label down, etc) - but you might want to rectify this before printing the next batch?

Also the instructions about the ICSP header jumper are unclear. Do I need to bridge that jumper whether or not a CIC chip is populated, or only if CIC is populated (aka Import Adapter mode, which I don't need/want for my purposes).

But again, otherwise a great board that fills a huge need in the repro/dev/import community for a very reasonable price.

Also only other downside is that it doesn't come with the 62-pin cart slot and you have to order those off Aliexpress, which is pretty much the only place you can find them for cheap unless you want to use an OEM SNES slot, but that's kind of overkill...

Great product For making games

I have used this product to make three translated games with these PCBs so far, they are easy to assemble and function perfectly. So much better to use than Tsop adapters currently floating around.
I was so pleased with them I have placed a second order to do more games. and will likely do so again

Great product!

I love how small these are, and how clean they make installs. Personally, I had no difficulty assembling the parts, and my first game with the adapter worked perfectly. Will likely buy more!

2 nitpicky design thoughts:
1.) Would prefer the 5V and GND rails to be thicker than the traces for the address and data lines
2.) Feel like the 74-series chips should have filter caps on them.

Difficult to assemble, but well worth the effort

AM29F032B chips are a pain in the butt to solder, 27C322 always seemed like a good idea to me, but it was a mess to get the wiring right, especially with the required 74HC257x2 chips. Low and behold, Mrtentacle apparently thought so too, and made these adapter boards, which puts all the required hardware on one board. While these boards are a very tight fit and take a while to assemble, they make a clean, professional looking product that opens up the 27C322 chip for more projects. Highly recommended!

Great Idea, Design a bit rough

For 27C322 to SNES Rom adapter

Straight to the point, I love the idea of a 27c322 adapter for your SNES donors. That way, you aren't spending a chunk of change for TSOP to DIP adapters, or using 3.3v flash chips. My biggest issue is the design. You have to do so much prep to get it to fit as low to the board as possible, and even then it will barely fit in a US cart. Personally, I would say it would be better to make the 27c322 side surface mount, instead of Through-Hole like the SNES Mask ROM side. But overall, love the idea but the design needs a bit more work.
