This board is really great, I just found that there should be more gnd to avoir having to screw a bunch of cables into the same screw terminal.

Also the documentation is really lacking. And the software from the official git repo is missing features (like the ability to change the type of reader) I ended up making my own firmware.

If you are familiar with programming your own MCU you can go for this board (there is a handy serial header to flash it and also reset and flash button)

After my order in mid-December, the standard shipping took 4.5 weeks. The shipping price was a bit high for a padded envelope, compared to other dealers and shipping companies. For this The 'ESP-RFID Relay Blue Board' was delivered with the esp-rfid software version 1.3.3 and could therefore be put into operation immediately.
* Product documentation:
The documentation for the 'Relay Blue Board' could be a bit more detailed to make it a bit easier for different customers and possible non-experts. I see the following potential for improvement in the description and documentation. Although everything is available somewhere, my wish would be to find everything in one documentation (no matter if pdf or online description). Attached are some pointers for possible improvements ...
* Product Description / Documentation:
The documentation (2 page pdf document) should be expanded to include important product data (input voltage range, AC/DC, output switching power, etc.) and initial installation and configuration topics, similar to the 1st relay board, this could also be included on the website
* Extended Technical Documentation (Github):
Gerber data and BOM are available on github, a schematic is missing, would be helpful for own adjustments, extensions or possible repairs
a wiring diagram, with pictures and connection examples analogous to the 1st relay board (wiring setup exsample), would make the first start easier.
* Concluding summary: the 'ESP-RFID Relay Blue Board' and the corresponding software 'esp-rfid' are well thought out and could be put into operation within a few minutes without any problems. Very good support: the vendor and team respond quickly and competently to questions.

Bought a couple of these for a project where access to an area and equipment had to be mildly restricted. Product works as expected. Will probably end up buying more to retrofit into more pieces of equipment.

I love this HW and the open source project that is ready made for the HW, it works really nice! Also had a question about one of the readers I bought as there was no documentation for it and the seller was super helpful to solve that for me :)

Great product, decent documentation

For ESP-RFID Relay Blue Board

I have tried it with generic RC522 modules and weigand modules and it works great, This is exactly the thing I have been needing for a small rfid control project.

The documentation is not great, not terrible but could use a little more love, took a bit of trial and error to get everything going but once I got it going, it was easy to use with diffirent readers

Nice tool with good features

For ESP-RFID Relay Board (12V for ESP8266 Board)

Works good with different cards. Hope there will be a template for time per user to make the system perfekt. With wiegand reader only 4 pin is used (green white red black)
I have now 3 reader online and it works.

For ESP RFID board for wiegand readers at (5V to 12V)

I've just received the board in the mail and haven't had a chance to get it fired up, but looking forward to doing so. The boards arrived quickly - especially considering it was an international shipment.

The seller offered ahead of time to burn on some firmware that should enable me to get up and going very quickly, so that is much appreciated! 5 stars for that. Build quality looks good, and it looks like the design of the board was done with reasonable care.

I took off one star for documentation, since none was included with the boards, although there is detail online. A packing slip with some basics, like the URL for additional references, would be ideal. By the time the boards arrived, I had to Google for the Tindie page to find the details. The URL silkscreened on the board just links to a page with some basic info, but nothing about the board itself.

I really like the idea of using common industry RFID readers as IoT devices, as it lets you integrate door control into a larger universe of logical IT endpoints. Glad to see someone pursuing this as well!
