Very simple device, but perfect for my requirement

For LED tester

I just needed something resilient to test a large selection of LEDs and I could not be bothered to make something myself. This product helped me to sort through the plethora of devices I needed to assess, which was very helpful.

If the creator is thinking of any upgrades, I would suggest a switchable constant current source and a larger battery voltage to test LEDs with larger forward voltages, but that shouldn't detract against this product.

I'm glad you found it useful. Next version will for sure have a constant current source and a variable voltage because a lot of customers asked for the possibility to test high power LEDs. Also going to add the possibility to test serial LEDs like Neopixel and ws2812b like LEDs (I enumerated 5 variants right now).

Great little boards

For LED tester

Nothing better than a simple well-made device that works to make your workflow go smoother. Do you need an LED tester? No, it's not hard to test an LED, but this small board will easily cut your time when troubleshooting or working on several things at once. Less time fiddling means getting more done, and this small unobtrusive board will definitely be a welcome addition to any toolbox or bench. Shipping to the USA during the pandemic was reasonably quick, but of course this is extremely conditional these days.

Nifty little LED tester!!

For LED tester

It really helps identify polarity and color of loose LED parts I have laying around on my bench. I like that I can hook up external power for higher voltage LEDs as well! I'll probably order a few more to keep on my other lab as well!

The shipping took 6 weeks but I don't complain. I fully understand we are in the midst of a pandemic, so I'm grateful it arrived at all!!

Thank you for the review. I'm glad you'r happy with it. So sorry for the delivery delay, it's out of my control. It was used to take only 3 or 4 days, with the pandemic, I'm really unable to provide any precise guess. Only thing I can control is to send the product as soon as the order is recorded. Delivery all over the world is chaotic. Sorry.

Must Have!

For LED tester

I ordered two of these, the seller was very helpful, they arrived very quickly and have been really useful.

I've used mine loads in the short time I've had them, it's especially useful for getting the SMD device polarity correct, nothing worse than checking the base of the LED for the polarity then it pinging out of the tweezers!

If you've got a 3D printer you can print yourself a base to mount it on (sorry blatant self plug, it's something I designed) https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3098120 to help organize your LEDs as you test them and it makes the through hole tester a little easier to use.

The only improvements I'd like to see would be holes for M3 machine screws rather than M2's as M3s are more commonly to hand and/or some stick on feet, perhaps the LED symbol on the silk screen to reinforce the + / current flow direction, but otherwise, it's perfect for the job and incredibly handy to have.
