A great kit - looks great, straightforward to build

For Basic Eurorack Power Supply - Kit or Assembled

This was my first time soldering SMD (and only my third or fourth time building any kit) so I was a little unsure how I'd do. It turned out that this kit was clearly laid out, the pads were nice and large and I was able to put it together with no problems. I appreciated that the very small components were pre-populated though. It's also great that this outputs a +5VDC as well as +/-12VDC.

All round this was an entirely positive experience. Thank you!

I concur that you rock, Jeremy! Shipping was immediate; I was emailed when shipped; they (I bought 2) arrived very quickly and were packed very well! But, best of all, this is the product that the teenagers blew! The horrible sync-loss and overprocessing and sound degradation is completely restored with this magic wonder of a board, all thanks to JM, the DIY master and wise purveyor of pocket operator cures. TE owes you big, but as their support is useless, I suspect they haven't even given you a single thanks. In lieu of that, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!

And, if anyone who reads this is looking for the magical elixir to cure the awful PO sync, to produce a usable musical groove, one which the internal teenage non-engineering implementation fails at miserably, THIS is that magic, yes, it really is freaking magic! Let alone that it is actually a very usable board for splitting sync for other products, as I have verified with the Roland TR-09 (programming the trigger on 1/8 note controls POs, for example).

And for the unbelievable low price, I am jaw-droppingly astonished at the quality and customer service. My good sir, I will keep my eye on you as I am so damn impressed at this uniquely valuable, high-grade offering. As you are in the US, I would think a smart exec should scoop you up tomorrow (you reading this Dave Smith or Moog?), but if you are still independently producing this kind of swiss-army knife for other company's screw-ups, I (and I see that I'm not alone) would be glad to have you, as you clearly know what you are doing, and doing it right in every way! Great job, nice work, Jeremy!

This is a great busboard

I'm using this for my small DIY Eurorack skiff/pod and it's just perfect. Love that you get not only a full set of headers but also breakout pins per port.

I do a lot of DIY stuff, and sometimes it's nice just to have "regular" headers. It costs about $0.00 to add the feature to the board, so I left my experimental feature on the final product.

Exactly what I needed

I'd been using my PO-35 as a master sync to my SQ-1, Minilogue, and PO-32, but because of the splitters, I was losing the audio of the PO-35, and that's an awful useful thing to just have sitting there making no tasty sounds. Not only that, but syncing my Tonic -> Speak -> KO! ended up with the audio sounding baaaaad. A Gooj search pulled up this product, and promised me the ability to split off the sync signals from the audio. Shazam! This + a $6 1/8" star splitter and suddenly everything sounds great together! I can also split each PO off into separate mixer channels for individual control and effects, since the Sync signal is now isolated. Unbelievable! You could sell these for way more and it'd still be worth it!

Good product, good seller!

For Basic Eurorack Busboard - Kit

Great board. Pretty good deal too, all things considered. The only very minor gripe I have is that the pads for the IDC headers are a bit small. They still solder fine but you need more solder on the tip than you'd think in order to get it to flow onto the pad properly.

Thanks, and I appreciate the critique.

Most of the pins solder up pretty easily, but the ground pins are a pain, I know. The ground plane on this board is massive and you have to get in there with a pretty big tip on your iron to get the solder to flow quickly.

I'll take your advice and see how far I can increase pad sizes once this batch runs low.

Excellent solution for PO syncing

For Sync Splitter for Pocket Operators - 5 Way

This little thing is great. Quite small, and the little rubber feet are a nice touch. The only "downside" is that I didn't order two.

Shipping took a bit longer than estimated but that wasn't an issue in my case.

I've also been able to connect devices other than pocket operators to this as well, such as the Korg SQ-1. Looking forward to trying it with others such as the Arturia Keystep and Volca devices.

Also, I haven't tried with the Keystep yet, but I've had good luck using the splitter with Volcas.

IMO this is a must-have if you want to get the most out of your Pocket Operators. After I got my third PO I started looking around for a sync splitter but couldn't find anything that looked reliable or was guaranteed to work. I was very happy to find this splitter and even happier when it arrived: it's small but surprisingly sturdy and works perfectly. Being able to incorporate my mixer and effect pedals has been a complete game-changer. Now I just need to get a Bastl Dude to make a complete mobile setup!

I’m using mine for a diy project, to mount my pocket operators on a guitar neck. This unit makes it easier to adjust their volumes on my Dude! mixer.

For Sync Splitter for Pocket Operators - 5 Way

This is a genius product that solves the problem of separating Pocket Operator audio for recording and mixing, while maintaining all of their sync capabilities. And that's not all. It does so at an incredibly cheap price, with a cool form factor. AND it creates a bonus capability that you can't do with the regular syncing of Pocket Operators: You can stop any of the Pocket Operators that are #2-5 in the sync chain, at any time, and restart them without affecting the others!

For example, if you had all your PO's connected normally *without* this device, if you stopped #3 in the chain, that causes #4 and #5 to stop. On top of being annoying, this might affect the song vision you had in mind.

With this device, you could stop #2 and #5, but keep #3 going, then reintroduce #5 but not #2, etc...I LOVE IT.

Of course, the biggest reason to get this is that you can record and mix your Pocket Operators' audio separately. You will need to buy extra cables to connect all this, but it's totally worth it, IMO. The audio quality is much better, and the control you gain over editing your recordings is priceless. For instance, if you had a sweet jam but only liked what the Arcade was doing during the first part of it, now you can extract that, then loop it, add it back in for the rest of the track, etc.

If you're wondering about what happens to the PO audio signal that is first in the chain – it comes out the end of the device, the last jack on the right.

Indispensable tool for owners of multiple Pocket Operators

For Sync Splitter for Pocket Operators - 5 Way

Perfect for what I needed. I can now sync up my POs with separate audio outs, which means less noise per channel. And I can also run just one of them through my Monotron Delay. Without the splitter I was restricted to running the total sound output through the Delay. Now I can get a sweet repeating echo happening with one PO's output, then add a clean kick and snare for deep dubby techno vibes. Fun!

great solution for my pocket operators

For Sync Splitter for Pocket Operators - 5 Way

This is a great improvement to my pocket operator set up. I am now syncing 4 POs and sending each devices audio out to different amps/speakers. I plan on adding a mixer and using this in that set up. It is small enough to install inside an altoid minis tin if you are will to make that work (it’s tight) happy to have this!
