This is a fantastic idea and it can really help you to work out what is the appropriate cable to use. However it is not a very robust design, which is shame given the cost of the device. . The main issue, with mine is that the battery "holder" failed when it pinged off, rending the device unusable. Maybe a redesign to make this more robust ought to be considered.
