Nicely Done HW mod for T962
For T-962/T-962A reflow oven - Controller Upgrade
Pnoxi has made a nice hardware mod for the T962. It arrived quickly in the USA from Slovakia and was well packed.
Modification instruction video is well done.
I flashed the firmware in my Feb 2019 built T962 using the current 12.25 version of FlashMagic. The oven controller board red LED did not go out completely but did get very dim. The oven display did not go blank but showed a menu during the programming. The programming proceeded quickly and the verification was successful! With another tap of the tac switch on the Pnoxi board to reset it and the oven display showed the new Unified Engineering splash screen and new menu controls.
The SERIAL PORT setting in FlashMagic will auto-populate when you start FlashMagic on a computer that is USB connected to the powered up Pnoxi board. Note that the Crystal Frequency setting in FlashMagic V12.25 5558 Beta is now buried in the View --> Preferences --> Hardware Tab. Set to 11.0592 MHz.
