Easy to Assemble. Quality board. Good layout with a lot of extra proto type space. Do wish the kit with parts version was still available as getting the parts takes some time and effort. Hoping the board is redone in the future with smd components. Would buy again!

Looks nice, but have not built on it yet, have not all components yet. Should be used for agility timing. A board for flyball timing facilities (EJS= electronic judge system) would be welcome, many in Europe could use one. I hope it will come.

easy pulse

after trying to figure out the problem with my easy pulse, i e-mailed Raj and he was a great help for me, i explained the problem i had he walk me step by step what to do, my only probelm was i forgot the shunt jumper between the EN pin and VCC pin and finally i was able to make it work

I'm using 3 of these on a beaglebone black with SPI and they are chained. Talking at 1 Mbps and needed to keep the DIN, Load, and CLK lines from the bone at 3.3v so I'm using a level shifter to take those lines from 3.3 to 5v and powering these with 5 volts to stay in spec with what the maxim chip wants. I'm using Red, yellow, and green to show RPMs, Torque, and Horespower calculations live for a chainsaw dynomometer I'm doing the electronics for some chainsaw enthusiasts I share that hobby with. They are doing the mechanical stuff and I'm using a hall effect sensor and magnet on a shaft to do RPMS which inputs to the eQEP encoder hardware counter in the bone in the single clock line count mode along with an A/D chip that uses i2c to talk to the bone with a load cell to read the force from a torque arm the saw will drive. Plan to save the data in RAM so I can plot graphs and such like any other car dynomometer. Very happy with the results. In addition to making the EXP-01 breadboard compatible, the pin labels are very easy to read. So, no more looking back at documentation just to connect to GPIO or flash firmware. The power supply filter capacitor is nice to have as well. No documentation needed

I've used a few of these to connect the ESP8266 to Arduino for super reliable communication. With the recent Arduino IDE compatibility, I've started making 3V native sensors using the ESP8266, this adapter, and DHT22s to log temp and humidity throughout my house. This just works great.

The ESP8266 is just not breadboard friendly, forcing you to use female-to-male jumper wires for prototyping. This adapter solves that problem easily and neatly, and labels the pins so you don't have to double-check your wiring. It also allows the ESP8266 to hang off the end of the breadboard, giving you just a bit more room to work. And at $2.99 it's affordable given much of the popularity of the ESP8266 is because it provides serial-to-WiFi for such a low price (typically $5-$8).

Be advised that you can insert the ESP8266 into the adapter the wrong way around, so pause to confirm you can see the pins and pin labels on the adapter before applying power so you're sure you have the ESP8266 properly in place.

Great helper!

Simple breadboard helper, but very useful! Makes life easier when trying to plug one of these modules into a breadboard - no need for extension wires to connect it to the breadboard so it doesn't short. Also, all the pins are labelled making wiring much easier!
