Awesome device

I failed to review this sooner due to not creating an actual account. The device works wonderfully as a Raspberry Pi UPS, and has done so through many brown/blackouts.

I ordered this to use as a UPS for an older Raspberry Pi. I had ordered an older model several years ago and was happy with that. I encountered a couple of issues during my implementation that the seller helped me with in a very prompt and friendly manner. Highly recommend

Great product

For wESP32

I bought a handful of these to use with ESPHome.

The hardware is exceptional, documentation is good. I was really impressed with the low power consumption relative to other similar products. I'm measuring less than half of the power consumption via my managed PoE switch.

Great "featherwing"! PoE is very underrated, especially for IIOT where WiFi and LoRa aren't feasible. PoE without an ugly splitter involved is simply bliss. Please keep them coming!

Great Product, Very Much Worth It

For LiFePO4wered/Pi+

I bought this product to use for my Raspberry Pi 4 Car Head Unit. I needed a UPS to power off the Pi after it loses power from my car when I turn the car off. My interest in this product was the fact that it can withstand such high and low temperatures because it will be out in my car throughout all the seasons. I would consider myself a beginner on the verge of intermediate Pi user and I had absolutely no trouble reading and using the documentation to set up this UPS to suit my specific needs. This UPS works exactly as advertised and the documentation is verbose yet clear. If you're still trying to decide whether this product is worth it, it is. So, thank you to the creators of this product. If I ever need a UPS for any other outdoor projects, I will certainly be buying this again. Thank you guys for creating this!

Excellent product

For LiFePO4wered/Pi+

I love this thing. I considered many different UPS solutions, but really this one was the best “overall package”. The command line interface is neat, easy, and informative.

I use it on a pi4, which is not really supported due to the greater power draw. I haven’t scientifically stress tested it to see just how long it would last, but I once noticed it lasted at least 20 mins. That said, it works great for switching between my anker battery and wall wart.

Only critique I have is that I wish the input power was USB-C instead of micro USB so that I could use only one type of plug.

I have years of experience with the previous version that protected my Linux driven music player for around 4 years. It’s highly customizable with settings
This new version has a bunch more horse power and has even more R&D in it so I’m fully confident it will work like a charm

works perfectly despite my best efforts

I needed something that would shut down the raspi about 5 minutes after the power was cut. It's for a car computer that's powered off the switched cigarette lighter. when the lighter comes on, the pi comes on, when it goes off, the pi goes off after whatever time i want. it takes up to 20 volts and works good with solar. I've tried many of these, this one is flawless. This board and A123 LiFe cells are my go-to now for safe and reliable power.

Finally a proper solution to a common problem.

It seems like such a simple problem, and yet nobody else has this solution? A true online ups for an SBC with a battery that enjoys UPS operations. I'll probably buy one every time I purchase an RPi or other SBC. I had previously tried to implement a True Online UPS using LIPOs for my Pocket Beagles, but that did not work out well. I was very disappointed. But through persistence, I stumbled across this.

Board works great!

For wESP32 bargains!

The board works great as an ESP32 Ethernet development platform. I'm currently powering it from the USB port with the USB Prog board, so I can't speak to the POE performance yet. The seller was responsive to questions that I had, replying within a day.

Nice one!

For LiFePO4wered/Solar1

We just brought our first Solar1 to life, it just works as assumed! We're running two LiFePo4 2.5A batteries in parallel. Thus we ordered just 5V/1A-heating-pads we're running two of these in series (and hope that our solar current (20W/18V panel) won't exceed (2x5V)/(2x1A) while we're still under 0°C :).

Excellent MPP Solar Charger for LiFePO4 batteries

This is the BEST liFePO4 solar charger on the market! Most (if not all!) other options available have poor performance, built quality and/or do not use MPP battery charging. The LiFePO4wered/Solar charge controller is compact, flexible, built from the ground up for this amazing battery technology. While there are other reasonable solutions for house-sized LiFePO4 power packs, this project provides a professional solution for small and mid-sized projects. We are currently testing this in the field at a major SE University and the charging profile and performance are excellent.

Highly recommended product

It works great, although I'm a rookie, the installation was successful.
UPS properly and allows me to shut down without damaging files.

Love it, no problems at all

For LiFePO4wered/USB

Works perfectly, this is the easiest drop-in battery power supply for breadboarding and microcontroller projects that I've found so far. Virtually everything else uses Li-Ion, which I didn't want, or is designed as a Raspberry Pi hat, or isn't available anymore.

Because there are pins on the bottom of the battery holder PCB, you can just drop it on to the power line rows on the edge of a solderless breadboard and not worry about having a power supply nearby all the time. And you could easily push them through a normal breadboard or PCB and solder them in place as well.

I have to say that this is an extremely mature and well designed unit. I have needed it for development testing and it works exactly as advertised and in fact has handled a bit of abuse without much complaining. The designed did a great job of putting out a "pro-consumer" class piece of hardware and I look forward to his next iterations of the device. It is a great idea, well executed and a great example of small business executing better than the big guys.

Highly recommended for you Pi or similar SBC's.

The best PI UPS for me, so far...

For LiFePO4wered/Pi3

My main interest in having a Raspberry Pi UPS was for my seventeen year old robot, Pogo, but first the LiFeP04wered/Pi3 is under test to protect my robot development Pi from much-too-regular power utility outages.

While I am away from my desk, I leave my robot development Raspberry Pi 3 running the distributed computing platform BOINC with Einstein@Home and SETI@Home tasks crunching.

This crunching draws about 0.7A at 5.4v at the wall-wart before installing the LiFePO4wered/Pi3 UPS. Since this is below the 0.85A load limit of the LiFePO4wered/Pi3 UPS, there is no electrical problem to support this.

I purchased the LiFePO4wered/Pi3 UPS with the cool transparent blue case, and added some "Self adhesive Clear Door Knob Bumpers. 0.5 inch thick - 0.9 inch diameter" feet to give better air flow, and an Adafruit 15x15x15mm heatsink over the CPU, and a small sink over the LAN chip.

With BOINC preferences set for three cores, 66% of processor time, 80% of memory, vcgencmd reports temps between 72-78 degC, and no throttling.

Under normal operation, this Pi UPS is doing a great job. I did recommend the addition of a "long press to force off" feature for the unusual case where the Pi aborted unexpectedly leaving not way to cycle the power.

A nicely designed, easy to use backup power supply

This is well engineered backup power supply for the Raspberry Pi 3. Reading through the documentation I could see a lot of thought has gone into the design from battery selection through to the command-line tools to control the device. I'd tried a similar product before this one, but found that one had poor documentation and was hard to get going. The LiFePO4wered/Pi3 is really excellent.

An effective power button and UPS

Provides the two essential functions that are lacking in Raspberry Pi :
- Power button, a hardware to shutdown the Pi.
- UPS with safe shutdown when power is missing for too long time.
Very easy to install, very easy to setup.
I strongly suggest to buy a suitable case.

Set it up, forget about it.

I got this to connect to my rpi zero security camera. Here where I live power goes out occasionally happened to corrupt my last security setup, so when I found this product I was pretty excited. The power has gone out a couple of times since I installed it, and from what I can tell it works perfect! I haven't had to turn my pi back on, and I haven't seen it offline, what more could you ask for?
Would buy again.

An excellent power supply for an Rpi3

I have been able to power my Rpi3 with a 7" touchscreen display and an Arduino Mega. Everything has been working very well. The unit's designer has been excellent to work with to handle questions I have had. I would definitely recommend to anyone needing rechargeable UPS for their Pi.

Essential Raspberry Pi Add-on, great customer support!

Looking for a compact and portable battery pack/power supply for my Raspi Pi's (3, Zero), i found this little gem.

On top of its compact size and focus on more safety (intrinsically safe material), it combines the UPS with a charger unit AND an on/off-button for safe shutdown. This three very useful functions combined in one compact, well thought unit makes the LiFePO4wered-Pi kind of unique.
I could not find anything like it on usual webshops for raspi-stuff.

I ordered the LiFePO4wered-Pi3 device for powering a Pi Zero, getting the well developed software (avail. on github) installed worked like a charm.
Shipping (foreign country) was done really fast and without any problems. The unit arrived packed safely.
Contact to the seller was perfect, even weeks after the buy.

I don't think the seller could have performed better, I really don't.
Outstanding communication.
