Cool looking but not really functional

The robotwasfun to build butat the end it wouldn't walk or take commands properly and would only wave or bow and even thenthe servos strained to work.

A great concept but let down by the little things

For mePed v2 Quadruped Walking Robot - Complete Kit

Overall the fit and finish was impressive, the documentation was clear for the most part, however the servo mount screws could be better identified in the documentation. It was slightly unclear which screw and location these needed to be installed. Also much more notice on the tightness the screws need to be set to could have been indicated. I only found out that certain screws should be loosen a bit more, only once the robot was assembled and the servos were a bit to weak to move.

I never could get the robot to walk, after much adjustment to screws and rechecking board connections, I could only manage it to wave and bow. A bit disappoint all in all. I also found the servo board connectors are way to close on the board pin connectors. Yes they do fit, but I worry about the pins bending.

It has potential but a lot was lost due to issues with the servos and board.

Fun project, 5 and 6 year old kids loved helping

For mePed v2 Quadruped Walking Robot - Complete Kit

Don't regret this purchase, the kit came with everything needed and very simple instructions with good pictures that made it easy to assemble.

The laser cut parts are well designed and all fit together really nicely both with each other and with the motors, screws and nuts.

After building, it basically worked great on the first try. I can't wait to play with the code and make the mePed do some custom walking. The code looks really well commented at first glance too, great job Spierce.

I bought this kit for a Christmas gift to my son, He loved it. It had a couple defective parts, but they quickly resolved the issue
