A great concept but let down by the little things
For mePed v2 Quadruped Walking Robot - Complete Kit
Overall the fit and finish was impressive, the documentation was clear for the most part, however the servo mount screws could be better identified in the documentation. It was slightly unclear which screw and location these needed to be installed. Also much more notice on the tightness the screws need to be set to could have been indicated. I only found out that certain screws should be loosen a bit more, only once the robot was assembled and the servos were a bit to weak to move.
I never could get the robot to walk, after much adjustment to screws and rechecking board connections, I could only manage it to wave and bow. A bit disappoint all in all. I also found the servo board connectors are way to close on the board pin connectors. Yes they do fit, but I worry about the pins bending.
It has potential but a lot was lost due to issues with the servos and board.
