Review after year of use: really great product. Stable

Use small board for a year already 24/7. Stable. Works well. Hardware part is very solid! Great communication by author/seller: all questions answered. Software is maintained also very well.
The only one sequrity feature request (for software part, so not direct to this hardware) would be nice: enable open configuration wifi hotspot only when some button is pressed on the board (or double-pressed, etc.); so, only when I'm physically next to my board (not any time when signal lost with my router as for now).
In general: HIGHLY recommend! Will try bigger version with eth port also.

Great device especially large PCB.

So far I've been using a small version.
When the large version with Ethernet overlay appeared, I bought it.
The solution is awesome.
Now I can additionally leave the original CZ-TAW1 in proxy mode.
Additional two relays is also a very cool option.
Together with the home assistant it creates a perfect solution.

What might be bit better is the documentation - clean guide with all the modes possible and steps needed would be great for everyday user. But hey - it's a hell of a hardware for the price!
It's should be bundled by default with every Aquarea heat pump!

doubt about how to make the cztaw and large heishamon connec

I have a heishamon small that works very well and I use it in listen only mode. Now I would like to order the large heishamon, but I have a question: How is the physical connection made between the cztaw and the large heishamon?

You connect the cztaw to the heishamon proxy port (the smaller white connector) with the original cztaw cable. If you don't have that anymore you can buy it in the shop (called a CN-CNT cable).
Heishamon to the heatpump connect the same way as the small heishamon. You can use again another CN-CNT cable or use the CN-NMODE cable which is also in the shop.

So, heishamon large will be installed in between of the cztaw and the heatpump

Over a year of flawless communication

My HeishaMon communication PCB is working for over a year now and I never had any problem with it. It dispatches all relevant information of the Panasonic heat pump to my Homeassistant instance via MQTT.

If an Ethernet version would become available, I would buy it without hesitation.

Thank you for making this! I use it to save 20-30% on heating portion of the electrical bill by heating only on the cheapest hours.
Although I'm lately been thinking about overall cybersecurity more, so two questions:
1. If my AP is for whatever reason down, anybody seems to be able to connect to the heishamon's SSID becuse it switches automatically to hotspot mode. Can this risk be somehow mitigated?
2. Will there ever be a version with Ethernet port?

1. There is no solution currenty but I could add a setting to set the wifi password for the hotspot. I'll think about this

Great Esp32/RS485 Board

For ESP32-C3 with RS485 modbus and optional touch TFT

I got these to connect to the RS485 on my Deye inverter (using tasmota as a Modbus TCP bridge) and also for my Ecoforest Heatpump (using ESPhome).

Its a lot neater than the separate boards I was using to prototype them on. Very good value.

perfect interface for a good price.

I've used this interface for over six months. Always worked flawlessly, no issues, disconnections or such like the original Panasonic cloud dongle had.

The kit is very easy to setup, I've printed the box myself and stuck it near the heatpump. I've integrated everything in Home Assistant, archieving a far better control of my aquarea compared to what I could do with the stock cloud. Also, this system does emulate the expansion PCB allowing direct integration of solar systems or further configurations at a very cheap price.

Considering what it takes to properly design a PCB, go through the iterations to make it functional, I think the price the author asks for this module is definitely minute. Thanks for the great work.

Instead of sending the data to the manufacturer in China, the product uses MQTT to communicate with the inverter.
Good idea.
With the TFT display, you always have an overview of the solar system and you don't have to look at your cell phone.

Questions are also answered very quickly.

Is there a difference between CN-CNT and CN-NMODE, if I don't have a CZ-TAW1?

No difference. Both connectors on the mainboard of the heatpump are hard wired together (only extra 12v supply missing from the CN-CNT which isn't used).

Amazing product to digitalize your Aquarea

Amazing product amazing communication, with nearly 0 background in home automation was able to connect the heishamon to the unit and was instantly able to get the data. Home assistant part was a little bit more challenging you need to set up MQTT and connect it to it but I was able to finish everything in 30 minutes and now able to see all my data and do inputs from my home assistant, let's hope that it's stable and continues to work like this.

Works without any friction

For Opentherm master shield for Wemos/Lolin

Was able to hook up my Viessmann Vitodens 050 with Opentherm and control it via HomeAssistant in a very short time. Soldering, compiling Tasmota, and wiring things up took less than an hour. Really happy with the outcome. No more running to the boiler and re-adjusting the temperature.

I installed it yesterday together with my heatpump and it worked instantly and flawlessly.
Installation of a mqtt broker and homeassistant on my raspi was far more difficult.
But now everything works together and I am able to check and configure my panasonic with my mobile phone.

First I thought, this would be a nice addition to the "official" device offered by Panasonic ONLY for the Panasonic owned cloud, which eventually will disapper in 10 years, though....
BUT it is a complete nicely made now for almost two month working alternative, if you love mqtt and try to avoid cloud solutions when they don't make sense at all!

A must have for Panasonic home automation integration!

I am using Heishamon opentherm with a series h T-CAP Ultra Quite. I have connected it to the CZ-NS4P add on board using the CN-NMODE plug, in parallel to the Panasonic cloud module CZ-TAW1. It worked right away. I use the MQTT data to monitor the heat pump in openhab 2.5.

Ein klasse Teil, ich betreibe es parallel zum originalen Internetmodul um die Daten der Wärmepumpe mit iobroker zu loggen.
Alles funktionierte sofort nach Einbau und ohne Probleme.

Vor dem Kauf war ich noch unsicher, was den parallelen Anschluss zum TAW1 betrifft, aber dank des netten Mail Kontaktes mit Igor konnte alles geklärt werden.

Einfache Einstellungen via HTTP-API oder MQTT sind out-of-the-box möglich. Schnelle Lieferung und sehr freundlicher Kontakt - sorry Igor, dass ich noch nicht zurückgeschrieben habe, Rückmeldung kommt in Kürze.

De hardware is ingenieus - gewoon aangesloten en geconfigureerd via de interne hotspot, daarna worden alle parameters van de warmtepomp verzonden via MQTT.
