I have been a software developer for all of my adult life. A couple of years ago, my old passion for electronics and model railroading got reignited with my first purchase of a Raspberry Pi. Since then, I have created a wonderful open source web app for the Pi, called Breezy4Pi at www.breezy4pi.com. This application enables a hobbyist to program the Raspberry Pi with mere mouse clicks to execute small programs.

Along with Breezy4Pi is the line of I/O extenders, break out boards and, my latest, the Mini ATX PSU. These are all designed to work well together in a compact stack-able configuration appropriate for the general hobbyist and model railroader.

Very useful add on to use ATX power supply PI4 CMIO Board

For ATX Watchdog for Compute Module 4

Today I finally had the time to apply ATX Watchdog in my setup.
I wanted to migrate my DVB-S2 server to low power system. So my setup consists of a PI4 CM Lite 8GB, CM4 IO Board and a quad tuner DVB-S2 PCIE-X1 card (TBS 6905) overall consuming less than 36W. After assembling my proof of concept and finishing software setup, I wanted to put everything in a 1 U server rack. ATX Watchdog enabled me to easily use an Flex-ATX power supply and power button. I had some problems after connecting my PCIE tv card. System shutdown after some seconds. Looks like the power drain was too high. However I found a workaround by not using the power cable supplied connecting ATX-Watchdog to CM4IOB and instead I connected the floppy connector from the PSU directly to CM4IOB.
Now it's working for me as expected.
Another thing is the orientation of the ATX-Watchdog ATX connector. It's impossible to mount the CM4IOB in a case and make use of the back ports. In my case it would have been better to change orientation by 180 degrees. This way, one could connect ATX cable and use the HDMI, LAN and USB ports with a custom IOShield.
Overall I am happy with the product and it enables me to use my setup in a 19" 1U case. That's all I wanted and ATX-Watchdog is a convenient addon to solve the PSU problem.

Most of the time, I do not know what people are using these boards for so feedback is always welcomed. Next time this board comes up for redesign, I will keep in consideration that people may want to have the ports of the CM4IOB be flush with a side of an enclosure.

Saved me a ton of time and effort

For Mini ATX PSU II - Desktop ATX Power Supply

Needed to replace a 20 year old atx mobo in a MAME cabinet. I didn't want to go through setting up another pc solution, and already had a raspberry pi with a RetroPie image. Using this allowed me to pretty much swap the power connector from the mobo to the board and I was off an running, no need to rewire my power button/coin door and marquee lights/etc.

Had a small software issue, the RetroPie image doesn't have all the dependencies needed for the shutdown/reboot scripts. I messaged Tom, and he got back to me very quickly with a suggested fix (use the instructions in the ReadMe here: https://github.com/tomtibbetts/ATX-Watchdog-for-Pi/tree/main/scripts/Ubuntu%20Install%20Scripts) and that solved the issue immediately. Spectacular customer service.

Great product, great seller.

Works great, would buy again

For Mini ATX PSU-HP (High Power) for Raspberry Pi

The product itself works great and the documentation is fine even if it is a bit technical.

On mine a few pins were bent a bit, but that happens when you have international shipping. In addition to that there was a missing nut, which is not a problem but weird. If you have another HAT on top of this one it doesn't even matter.

I apologize for the bent pins and missing nut. I kit all this stuff myself so, I obviously miscounted. I'm glad to hear it's not affecting you. I'm still working on how to protect the pins on the assembled units.

Things didn't go well but Tom went above and beyond

For Mini ATX PSU-Cool Kit for Raspberry Pi

Things didn't go well with the ATX SPU cool kit, and initially I thought I had messed up the soldering job.
I emailed Tom for some help and he was very helpful, and I sent some photos and he gave some advice on how to diagnose what was up.

Long story, short, but it ended up being an incompatibility with the power supply I was trying to use. My soldering was fine! I think the SF power supply was trying to be too clever and was expecting a motherboard, rather than the Raspberry Pi. Before we realised the issue, Tom sent me a replacement board (I payed for the postage) and unfortunately, due to Corona-19 delays, that package was delays some several months. So Tom, being an amazing guy, sent me another replacement, using a different transport company which got to me before the first one!

I've sent Tom the details of the power supply I was initially using, so he can sort that out with future designs.

Thank you Tom, you went well beyond what was expected to resolve the issue. My offer for a beer, should you ever visit my part of the world stands. :)

amazing product, amazing support

For Mini ATX PSU - Desktop ATX Power for Raspberry Pi

This product was exactly what I needed, It powers my Pi as well as several other devices I'm using that need their own power. I can put everything into a PC case and use the case fans to cool keep my solid state relays cool.

Along with a great product, Tom has been a great help. This was the first time I've done any major soldering and I didn't do a great job. Tom asked for pics and gave me some advice that got me up and working. He's been a tremendous help as someone new to electronics.
