The finished product looks fantastic and has several educational aspects for children... both the hands-on soldering and telling time on an analogue clock. There is also the interesting technical aspect of how Charlieplexing works as well as the use of the 50Hz (in our case) AC power frequency to actually use as the clock oscillator. There is some cleverness in the design so that it can auto-select 50Hz/60Hz on its own.
The board is clearly marked and the instructions are clear. The vendor is very responsive and all my e-mails were returned promptly. Although delivery to Australia was delayed as a result of the COVID pandemic, I still gave 5 stars for shipping because of how on top of things the vendor was with resolving a problem that occurred that was completely out of his control.
