While we had a problem with the shipping (entirely NOT a fault on Bob's part, but a complete mistake by Royal Mail that shipped TO ANOTHER COUNTRY!), Bob's promptly resolved this, and now I'm a prod owner of a Vicky Twenty motherboard.

Good board, just one issue found.

For Amstrad CPC6128 Replica PCB

Assembled board and got running using donor keyboard from later CPC 464 cost down that had blown ASIC gate array. Everything worked except
the DEL key. Tracked it down to pin 1 on CP102 (righthand side) keyboard connector not being connected. Put a link wire from pin 1 to pin 9 on CP102
as per later CPC 464 boards and DEL key now works.

Great board hard finding all the parts but got there...

For Amstrad CPC6128 Replica PCB

Took me forever to get all the components together and soldered but they came in...
The board is nice to work with and is quality made great buy..
The BOM specifies parts and replacements theirs only one gotcha if your not familiar with the the HAL 16L8ACN (IC118) ..He recommends as an alternative the 556-AF16V8B15PU but you cannot just use this chip you need to program it with the CPC6128.JED (found here https://www.cpcwiki.eu/index.php/File:CPC6128.JED ) file you need for it to emulate the Hal chip.. I used a T48 eprom programmer to program it..
There should be some reference to this in the BOM excel spread sheet..
That jed file is for the Pal version not sure if you need one for the NTSC version..
Other than that this is a great board thanks Again!

A500++ Project - Pure Retro-Tech hit!

First purchase on Tindie - Just ordered the black A500++ replica PCB, and I can say that I'm impressed by:

1. The speed of the shipping
2. The Quality and finish of the PCB
3. Quality Silkscreen
4. Price - For a large PCB it is good value [previous experience with PCB design and manufacture has proven to be expensive in the past!]

If fact, its ALMOST a shame to solder onto it and not frame it!

Ok, so that's enough smoke blowing - I learnt of this boards existence from the YouTube "RMC" channel - This guy sold it to me.

Documentation:
I found the BOM, got the YouTube links, now unless I'm missing something, that's all I have got - Still "something" is better than nothing.

Waiting for my donor to arrive to commence work.

I bought one of Rob’s excellent SixtyClone boards, the 250466 specifically. Just finished constructing it last weekend, and fired up on the first try. Quality of these boards FAR surpasses that of the originals as one would expect, and I’m quite happy with it. Documentation is perhaps a little lacking, but with as much information out there on the web it shouldn’t be too difficult for most moderate to advanced hobbyists to knock one of these together. Just pay attention and use your best judgment sourcing components, and you should be golden. Quality of the included components in the resistor/capacitor kits is also quite good too I would add; I saw no reason to substitute anything for my build. Now I want to build the other revisions. :) -aphexteknol

I bought this board to rebuild a C64 that I destroyed by ripping the traces from a chip, and I must say that this SixtyClone board is faithful to the original Commodore 64 motherboards. I had a awesome time rebuilding my c64 from scratch. I did have a problem with loading from floppies, but it was a chip that didn't survive the on the old board. Still I was up and running like I was using the original board.

The sixtyclone board is well made and looks gorgeous, pure art. It was a pleasure to solder on to with no issues.

The only niggles for me is packaging and documentation. It arrives it a long thin cardboard box and upon opening it contained only the board, no documentation at all, no anti static bag, no padding, not even a fragile/do not bend sticker on the outside of the box.
But as I said, there were no issues or damage.
The board works out a touch over £26, I would gladly pay £30 for a bit more protection.

Great Amiga PCB

The board arrived quickly, with the resisters etc. It was well packaged and arrived in pristine condition.
Using the online BOM I was able to source the bulk of the parts needed to build the Amiga and using Discord able to source the still introduction parts i couldn't get initially.

The Board is now 99% done I only need some of the custom chips and connectors to finish the build. Even with my limited skill the board was easy to populate using online component locators.

I'm super pleased with the board, and looking forward to getting it going!!!

As a novice this has been an introduction to my new retro hobby! As a nice to have, I'd be keen on some commissioning checks and tests I could perform prior to its first switch on. Additionally some super high res pics of a finished and populated board to help spot any issues.

This is an outstanding product, which once i have mine commissioned will for the base of many upgrades and mods.

Well done to those involved in creating this board!

Perfect PCB, poorly packaged

For "SixtyClone" Commodore 64 Replica PCBs

I ordered a blue 250407 board and am very pleased with the quality of the PCB. No complaints whatsoever, it really is perfect - beautiful even. The colour is very nice but it would be great to have an "old school" green/copper (clear solder mask) variant. Offering something a bit less flashy-pimp or candy-store'ish would get a second sale from me, no hesitation. Don't get me wrong, the offered colours are great but possibly a bit " Mr. Cool" for old, conservative types. ;-)

Luckily it arrived undamaged, considering the poor packaging. The PCB was loosely sandwiched between two thin pieces of corrugated cardboard, nothing to prevent it from being bent or broken. My package was badly bent in one corner, thankfully the board had shifted to the other end so there was no damage. No markings whatsoever on the package warning the shippers not to bend, etc. Not good enough, sorry to say, although probably an improvement over the soft envelopes noted by previous reviewers. Maybe get a large sheet of that white corrugated plastic, cut it down to board sizes and sandwich the PCB. Tape around the edges, then wrap in shipping paper and write "DO NOT BEND". Still thin and light and shouldn't cost much more.

Otherwise, the documentation, limited to an online BOM, is thorough but including a paper copy would've been a nice touch. No big deal and as advertised.

This goofy review platform requires me to rate the aspects of the sale individually, so here they are;
Product= 5* (Perfect)
Shipping=2* (Poorly Packaged)
Documentation=5* (As Advertised)
Communication=5* (None Necessary)

Overall, I highly recommended this classy PCB but urge the constructive suggestion that he find some decent packaging, or at least write "DO NOT BEND" on the front.

This pcb is really well done. Good materials, shining colors, every piece to be soldered is indicated both with part number and electrical value.
So it is almost impossible to fail while placing the components. There is just one error but it is carefully indicated in an attached paper.
My new C64 is ready to be hardly used.

Perfect for a longer lasting C64 repro

I like the board quality of the Sixtyclone better than the original and the color choice is great, also the possibility of using the MOS chips we like and socketing everything is great

I also use some TTL-CMOS compatible logics for saving power on 5v line like the 54ACT373

The only downside is :
• actual V1.1a revisions of the 407 board doesn’t have the NTSC Jumper hole punched like the original which i need to find a different spot with bodged wires for my VICii2 PAL/NTSC board

•The value not written on board

After buying a used Gary, to replace the one killed by the Varta, we were up and running. Then one of the reused used 74 ics packed up. So had to replace it. Desoldering was easy and board seems strong and well made.

The board was shipped promptly and I’m really impressed with the quality. Rob is friendly and helpful and has done a great job with this #250469 replica.

It’s a very high quality board, you can tell it was designed with care and attention to details. I’ve got the version with black solder mask and it looks just fabulous with the gold contacts!

There is no printed documentation, but a very detailed shared spreadsheet with the list of components needed and their positions. Mostly accurate, but my advice is to double check each item before going for the suggested part numbers. There may be other suitable alternatives and also some items are missing. At least this was true in the case of the spreadsheet for the assy #250469 - the ones for other boards seem more accurate and “tested”.

The packaging was ok, but could be improved (the board was simply sent in a padded envelope). No other complaints!

All in all, I’m very happy with my purchase. Excellent quality, looks great and the price is a bargain! Definitely recommended!

Fast delivery and High Quality board

When I ordered this board from the UK to SoCal I was warned that due to Covid-19 I should expect a delay (I believe 6 weeks was mentioned). I was ok with that and waited.
Within a couple of days the board travelled all the way to LAX. There it stayed for about a week until it made the last 50 mile trip to my home. So in total it took about 10 days. Very happy with that really, your mileage may vary.
Now as for the board, I ordered the black and let me tell you it is a thing of beauty. Quality is superb and I highly recommend it.
