I agree with Michael. I needed a carrier board for a Teensy 3.5 that allowed me to break out the pins and add some connectors for my I/O. The through hole version works perfectly for that. I was able to put the Teensy straddling the center. That left room for a double row of headers on each side - one row picks up the Teensy pins and the other picks up the breadboard area. Very nice!

Azzy's Electronics prototype boards are great.

For 2" x 4" Prototyping/Project boards

I can solder through hole projects tolerably well, but I am not an expert. At the moment, I have not attempted SMD soldering.

I've been buying the various breakout boards from Azzy's Electronics for some time now. I like the fact that these boards are plated on both sides, so that you can solder components on either side of the board. The boards are better made than many of the prototype boards I've seen.

I find the boards can tolerate de-soldering and re-soldering without the pads lifting off.

The 2x4" all through-hole boards are great for large builds where I have a lot of components, or two large boards. For example, I built a Teensy 3.1 with an Adafruit Audio FX sound board and speakers on the board. I did wish the ground and power pin spacing was every 0.1" instead of every 0.2". Newer boards like the mint tin boards now have the power/ground pins every 0.1".

The mint tin boards are great for medium sized projects. The layout of the connected rows of pins allows me to stuff even more components on the board than the Adafruit mint tin board. Plus you can get a case for the board at any grocery store :-)

The 1x2" prototype board is great for adding a Teensy 3.1/3.2 with just a few connections made via wires for a small build.

The various mini-protoboards are great for breaking out small components.

The small boards are typically mailed via US post office in a normal envelop with cardboard. My last shipment of the 2x4" and mint tin boards came via US mail with a tracking number. Since I live in Massachusetts (same state as Azzy's Electronics), the boards get to me quickly.

I use these mosfets to switch 24V DC aquarium pumps on and off. Seven months later and everything is humming right along. I'm pushing around 1.5A through them and they don't even get warm. I'm using Arduino to control them. I love these little jewels!

At first, I used relays but I was switching so often their usable lifetime was too short.

Drazzy was very helpful, making sure I got the right product. I followed his advice- as a novice I would have been foolish not to. Drazzy is a great person to deal with. Couldn't be happier.

The board quality looks good with silkscreen and gold plated solder pads. Although definitely no rocket science a schematic somewhere would be nice.

This product is a very nice device suitable for intermediate between ATtiny85 and ATmega328P. Without much hustling, you can rewrite your ATmega code to ATtiny. Optiboot and serial pin header are also helpful to debug your code, too. The only weak point is the strength of PCB pattern. You need to be careful to soldering something on this board. Anyway I love this.

Board to mount your RN2483 LORA module

Neat board with provision for a voltage regulator and it has mounting holes! So many of the breakouts expect you to use a breadboard, fine for a prototype, but with a cased demo unit having a way to mount the board is essential. Modules soldered on with normal (fine) solder and fine tipped iron and I'd used liquid flux as well to ensure a good joint.

Please note in my ratings that there is in fact no paper documentation - so I've left the rating for the boards printed notation!

I love the prototyping boards of Azzy's Electronics

For Mint-tin size prototyping board

I've bought various prototype boards from Azzy's Electronics, and they often fit various niches I need for electronics. Shipping is fast. I only do through hole soldering, but it is nice to have various options. I was going to buy some of the 1x1.5" mini prototyping boards, but they are currently sold out. I noticed there is now a mint tin prototyping board, and I ordered a few. I haven't actually soldered any yet, but it does seem well laid out, and it gives me more options than the Adafruit mint tin board, which is just laid out in breadboard fashion.

I tend to use Teensy's (LC, 3.2, and I just got a beta 3.6) these days. It was a nice coincidence that the Azzy board has 24 primary rows, and the new Teensy 3.6 will have 24 rows as well, and I can use the side sections for various add-ons (though if I go to town in adding stuff, I likely would go up to the 2x4" prototype board for the 3.6).

In thinking about having multiple servos and/or analog sensors, it would be useful if there was a variant of the mint tin board that had multiple power rails. A Teensy has 5 things you might want on a power rail (3.3v, VIN/5v, normal ground, analog ground, and analog reference), and for things like servos you might want an additional rail for external power.

I was thinking on the side that has 24 rows of 4 columns, if you reorganized it so that the ground row was 0.1" away from the other rows, and the last two rows were power rails instead of column rails, you could set up to have banks of either sensors or servos (there would 2 columns for a data pin and the connecting wire). It may even be desirable to break the power rails between the 12th and 13th column, so that you could have one set of pins for analog sensors (using 3.3v/analog reference and agnd) and one set for servos (using external power, normal ground, and data pin that have been level shifted).

Or alternatively, do this on the other side, and use the existing 2 pin columns and change some/all of the 3 column pins into power rails.

This board is a superb fit for the LMB/Heeger TF-777 enclosure. The board layout and quality is also superior and lower cost relative to other prototype boards that are available from Adafruit, Jameco, and Radio Shack. Nice compact board

Nice board, not too small; and not too big. Easy to work with. The only (valid) comment I have is that there is only one mounting hole, would have liked two so it could remain more stable/solidly in place... The other is a personal issue -- the heat sinks don't face the same way; this is a personal issue (I also have to seperate my M&M's by colour...) and has no impact on the board or performance of said heat sinks or the mosfets...

I have not put a full load on it; but I think if you plan to go up to 100 amps; you may also want a fan on those heat sinks...

Great board, well worth it; great person to do business with. If you're looking for something like this; this is perfect.

So small & elegant.

For Easy touch proximity sensor (assembled)

I wanted to add some touch sensors to a motorcycle project I was working -- figuring my skills at designing something sometimes results in hair pulling, I opted for the easy route & get a couple of these little guys. DrAzzy's stuff is awesome...These little boards are very cool -- much smaller than anything else I've seen & work great. I used a battery & a few alegator clips and a bit of foil -- tested out perfect.. so cool. For me, the price more than offset frustrations with me designing something similar.
