Great flash cart. Highly recommend.

For Flash Cartridge ROM 2MB @ FRAM 32KB for GameBoy

Used this to test out a custom rom on hardware. Works great. Love that it includes the ability to retain save game data. The cart would not work on a game boy advance sp. It did work on my game boy color (as advertised). The many options and versions are a little confusing, but I was able to get one that fit my needs. Would love a version that can handle an in game timer (for game such as pokemon gen 2) and that could be played on a game boy advance sp. I will likely be buying a few more of these!

Fantastic quailty. Needs better user documentation.

For Cart Flasher for GameBoy

I used this cart flasher to dump a custom rom to a flash cart (also ordered from J. Rodrigo). I opted for the 3D printed case and it's solid. The product is great. My only issue was that the software recommended to be used for flashing has no user documentation. I was able to eventually write my rom, but I had to try all the configurations. I still don't know what they all do. I hope that a more thorough manual for the software is written someday. But in the end the product is great.

Funciona perfecta, tamaño pequeño.
Es excelente, para el precio que cuesta es excelente, soldaduras muy bien hechas, la placa vale muchísimo la pena comprarla, sirve para todo, como copiar tus partidas y cambiar la pila de los cartuchos, rescatar las fotos de tu GB Camera.

Packaged and shipped with care! The device was mostly plug and play, although make sure you have a micro USB cable for it. I recommend the version with the 3D printed housing as it helps with cartridge alignment. The 3D printed shell itself is quite high resolution without any ugly burrs or pokey edges. Very solid-feeling piece of equipment.

I would recommend noting the download link for the GB Cart Flasher software on the note that is packaged with the device. A newbie may have missed it in the product's description, but I am sure a quick Google search would turn it up.

Great Product

For Pre-Modded Flash Cartridge with MBC3 + RTC (Timer)

This is my second time purchasing a set of carts, (the previous time I also purchased a flasher to go with them) and they work great. Got a crystal cart this time around, and had no trouble transferring my CC save from a different cart over to this one. (though I can’t bring myself to replace the sticker.) Easy to flash, and quite reliable.

GBP bivert issue - solved!

For Bivert Module for Nintendo Game Boy Pocket

I fitted the bivert module to my already backlit gameboy pocket. However the contrast was poor and could not be properly dialed in.

I researched it and found that due to the device being powered by 3v, it has a 5v step-up regulator. This regulator is only intended to power the motherboard and screen but when you add the backlight, it is not sufficient. When the device is biverted, it highlights the issue further.

The solution is to buy and fit a second generic 5v step-up regulator as detailed in this guide:

The original regulator will just power the backlight and the new regulator will power the rest.

I stumbled across this looking for some way to get Crystal Clear on a cartridge. Picked up one of these and it works perfectly. It doesn't look as cool as the non-rtc flash cartridge, but it works perfectly.

As good as I hoped

This is perfect, the only way it could be better is if it could be flashed directly (i.e. if it had a microusb and the flashing circuit integrated). But the PCB looks quite full so it does not look easily feasible. The look and feel is that of the original cartridges for GB. Awesome!

Very satisfied

For Cart Flasher for GameBoy

I'm totally satisfied with the product itself, it works out of the box with the provided drivers and software. No problems so far, I tried flashing 7 games and they all worked. It would be great to have a documentation saying that you need to select RUMBLE to write the flash (that's the only one that worked for me so far) and that you need to erase the flash before re-writing it (no overwrite). You also need to select the size depending on the FILE SIZE you want to flash and not depending on the memory available on the cartridge (I bought the 4MB one and tried to flash games using 4MB rather than 128kB). Without documentation, even geek users will spend some time figuring out how it works because the attempts take time and if you don't chose RUMBLE you need to disconnect the cart and reconnect.
Anyway a great product, the 3D model of the case can also be downloaded on thingiverse and printed on any 3D printer.
