For olmBoard - TPS62840 ULP Buck Converter 60nA Iq
I have been looking for a low Iq 3.3V power supply for my experiments and found the TPS62840 on the TI page. On Tindie this nice implementation was available, and I did some measurements yesterday. After connecting the board due to an error under reverse voltage I saw the chip glowing and I lost the first unit. I was happy to have ordered a few of them as the measurements finally showed that Iq was as low as 30nA (mean value over 1 minute). This is so low that just measuring the output voltage with my USB scope (which sinks around 2 uA) makes the current go up by a factor of > 60! The ripple factor was around 1/1000 at no load and 2/1000 at 660mA (5 Ohm load). The voltage dropped to 3.2V at 660mA load. I still have to explore the other available features. Great power supply!
