The product works. Not much to comment on.
Seller communication could be better. Got a mail when it shipped, 5 days later.
I know, Tindie is not the big A. So the seller will not ship one day later, but an earlier confirmation mail would have been nice.

My shipping experience was not good, it took 6 weeks from Sweden to GERMANY, untracked.
And i had to ask at the post office for it. It appeared magically in my post box the day after i asked.
That's not the fault of the seller, more a general advice for other buyers!
I advise to take tracked.
And since i choose untracked because of the 5 € cheaper board compared to BulkyMIDI-32, i also advise to choose that.
Might come in handy and it just 5 bucks more.

There is a link to the documentation page in the product description but i have now also added external links to this page that is easier to find.
There are also the switches positions listed on the product page from the github page and thats the only documentation most people would need to get it going, its a verry simple device.
All my products contain links to documentation only, printing it out on paper would just add extra waste and cost :)

A nice solution to provide your Amiga with an HDMI output

For CPLD AMIGA HDMI 2000 / 3000 for Raspberry Pi Zero

Easy installation in an Amiga 2000. To get the setup right you will have to look at a few GitHub projects, but in the end it is self-explanatory. Shipping took a little longer than I personally expected, but that in itself is not a problem. I also ordered the Amiga 500 version together. I still have to install and test that.

Fantastic Synth!

I'm really happy with this little synth hat - with the mt32pi hooked up to my Mac, I can now keep my Roland MT-32 safe and hooked up to my Retro Gaming PC and not move it around my study when I want to play MIDI from my Mac.

Im really loving having GM/GS Midi and Soundfont options too - It's just perfect for DosBox!

Great product and quality, took a while to deliver.

For CDTV RGBtoHDMI expansion - Perfect Sharp hdmi Out

I think the board is really good quality. Fits perfectly with an absolutely self explaining installation. I'm having it running with a Raspi Zero WH at the moment, will switch to a Raspberry Pi Zero v1.3 soon.

The resulting picture is as great as expected, well, there went a lot of time and experience into the RGB2HDMI project and of course the CDTV version. Before that I used a VGA variant together with OSSC, which was fine. but this one is obviously superior.

Shipping took it's time, I consider Retrofletch as a hobbyist like everyone else here, so it's absolutely okay. Packaging was fine.

Will buy again, recommended.

Amazing Product

For BulkyMIDI-32 MT-32 emulator for retro PC and more

The Bulky Midi-32 is truly a fantastic piece of work. The unit is really well built and the soldering looks great. In my case, I just followed the instructions and videos the creator has on the internet and it was really a breeze to configure and set up (and I'm nothing but a total newbie). The videos are quite informative for someone like me who has basically no idea at all and I enjoyed the seller's sense of humour. The thing worked perfectly from the beginning so nothing to complain here either. Everything looks and feels rock solid.

My only complain is that the seller marked the item as sent a few days before he actually did so I was left in the dark for a while. I had to write to Tindie customer service and a couple of days later everything was solved. The item arrived well packed and protected.

Honestly, I would buy again from this seller, but be warned that, reading some other comments, I was not the first who had this small inconvenience. However, I never felt scammed at all. I just wished things had been different regarding this issue. Also, it must be said that, after receiving the parcel, the seller was accesible and answered my questions really quickly.

Overall, great product. 100% recommended. You will really enjoy it.

Nicely made and arrived much quicker than I expected!

So this has been bought because I just fancied having a play with MIDI audio - I'm 52 and didn't have the money (or the talent) to do it when the MT32 (et-al) came out and I find the idea of emulating the MT32 on a Pi to be temptingly perverse ... I'm sure I'll probably end up buying a few of the actual original physical synth modules but for now the plan is to have a play with this emulated version.

The SD Card was easy enough to create once you realise that you don't grab the Git page and use the SDCARD folder to make the Boot SD Card as that won't boot ... you need the ZIP from the releases and then that will work no problem.

It would be handy to know *EXACTLY* which settings need to be changed in the config files but TBH it's not rocket science so with nothing more than a little bit of application it's pretty easy and obvious to find out what needs to be set.

Now, I'm sure you'll have read the reviews first so all I'm going to say is when I placed my order I was expecting a week or so for arrival - sometimes stuff goes wrong or gets lost or, lets be frank, we're all human so sometimes stuff simply doesn't get done so the one review grumbling about delivery times I took note of but it didn't in itself put me off (and hopefully it won't you too) - people are human and sh*t can just happen ... all I'm going to say is my board turned up after two or three days which I thought was pretty damn good!

Construction is solid, soldering is tidy, it would be nice to be able to take an S/PDIF or AES digital audio feed out of the board as I have some *REALLY* nice DACs here, or maybe onboard DC-to-DC power for the Pi so you can use a 9 or 12v DC PSU rather than a micro USB PSU but really that's being picky and are a "would be nice to have" rather than "it should really have these and is therefore lacking" ...

I'm happy - looking forward to having a play!

I bought this to revive my Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback Wheel. First experience on Tindie.com

Delivery was quick. Packing was decent enough.

The product works great. The only small issue I had was lack of documentation when I needed to update the necroware firmware through Arduino IDE. I had no knowledge of the exact board/MCU used, which is relevant to compile and upload it (especially the voltage level).

I found out most by researching online and using my mobilephone to inspect the board and the seller quickly confirmed the hardware specs.

My old wheel works now on Windows 10 and Linux!

If you are interested in adding an MT-32 to your vintage games environment MT32-pi is definitely the way to go, as it is difficult to source a real MT-32 or equiv.
