Worth the modest cost for hassle free interfacing

For Debug Board USB to RS232 Isolated Serial Converter

Nice to have the confidence of a real FTDI chip with worry free level level switching and isolation. Very handy that Debug Board shows with detail when listing devices on USB ports. Had one kicking around for a while and bailed us out when upgrading from a Raspberry Pi4 to RPi5 in an application involving serial communication with a microcontroller. Unlike the RPi4, the RPi5 did not want to play easily with serial through the GPIO; popped in the Debug Board had we were up and running through a USB port in no time. Only "problem" is now have to order a couple more!

Excellent product and customer service; very happy.

For I2CEncoder V2.1 Connect rotary encoder on I2C bus

I bought the rotary encoder boards, encoders, and some knobs. The initial shipment didn't include the encoders. When there's a problem, that's when you find out what kind of person you're dealing with. In this case, I found DUPPA to be the best sort of vendor - one who corrects the problem quickly and without fuss.

The boards, knobs, and encoders are very nice, but it was the excellent customer service that ensures I'll be back.

Sweet and Touchable

For Knobs for RGB Encoder

This would be one of those reviews which could easily turn to double entendre, but seriously these are some sweet knobs which are working well in current projects. The knurled big black and silver aluminium knobs are especially touchable and really add a touch of class to a project.

Excellent product but no longer communicates

For I2C Encoder Mini

I have ordered a reasonable number of the I2C Encoder Minis and also the I2C Encoder V2.1. They usually work very well indeed and are excellent value.

However, I had a problem with and I2C Encoder Mini with a specific 360ppr encoder I want to use in a project.

I could not see any problems with my encoder on the 'scope so I emailed the designer twice; once from the Tindie website and also from his own duppa.net website. Now, one month later I have had no reply.

I planned to use a lot more of these encoders but those plans are on-hold as I am worried about the long term viability of the project.

Anyway the problem can be that the frequency of A/B signals of a 360ppr encoder it's a bit high. In the datasheet is specified the maximum frequency.

Marvellous

For I2CEncoder V2.1 Connect rotary encoder on I2C bus

I've bought over a dozen of these (original version and the recent 2.1 version). They work a treat with my arduino projects. My one niggle is the lack of a java library (specifically Processing 3 GUI on a RPi) - and as a bit of a noob I'm struggling to get them to work. Perhaps someone out there could point me in the right direction?

Good product

For I2CEncoder V2.1 Connect rotary encoder on I2C bus

Hello,
I am working on a INA3221 mesurement system with a Wemos D1 ESP8266 as the mpu and a TFT 2.4” color display for the GUI. Using a menu system with a rotary switch the ESP lacks available pins so i was looking for an alternative.
I found this I2C mini board. I ordered some for evaluation. They arrived in due time and they look very well manufacrured.
Evaluated the available software and it worked flawless. Right now i have integrated the mini I2C rotary in my INA box and made the software fit with the new rotary board. Sofar its working ok.
I really can recommend this rotary board especially if you lack available pins on your mpu.
Its well manufactured, has good documentation, working software and fair pricing 👍👍

Great bit of kit

For Isolated USB - UART Converter for Arduino pro mini

Straightforward little board, well designed and compact. Isolation barrier provides a flexible option with regards to voltages and it works as expected.

Excellent product, good service

The v2 encoders performed exactly as advertised; though shipping took a bit long due to COVID slowdowns, Simone was helpful & communicative thru the delay, and also helped me troubleshoot a few integration problems by pointing me to relevant examples. Nifty product, look forward to the next project where I might be able to employ these!

Super cool product!

For PCB Badge Holder v3

This badge holder is awesome! As a PCB Designer, I'm sure it will be the envy of the other designers at work, and even people who aren't in our department :) I could have designed this myself, but Duppa did an excellent job already, so why redesign the wheel? Plus, he sent it already assembled (all 3 layers arrived glued together) so all I had to do was put my badge inside. Great product!

Really well produced item

For I2C NavKey: 7 functions joypad on the I2C bus

I bought three of these. Only needed one, but buying only one the shipping would be more than the goods itself.
I am glad I did, because I will make use of the extra two for sure.
These are really well produced items and the documentation is spot on.
I had a small issue with getting the correct data from the joypad, but it turned out not to be the joypad, but the connected hardware.
I did write a mail to Simone before discovering that and the response was there the day after, explaining that the problem I encountered had been tested and could not be reproduced, so it had to be something other than the jaypad - and it was.
Very good service - I highly recommend this item.

Nice product, exactly what I need

For I2CEncoder V2 Connect multiple encoder on I2C bus

I've limited number of wires (and GPIO pins) in my room thermostat project, and all the sensors and the display is hanging on I2C, so I was looking for an I2C input device and found the best. Unfortunately I've killed the firts one with reverse polarity, so be careful. Rotary was never so easy, working with tasking without any interrupt handling.

I am very satisfied with this product. It does everything the description says it does. Compared to a similar product purchased on another vendors website this one was much less expensive and works flawlessly. I had issues with a similar product from another vendor which led me to try this one out. I would recommend this item, and seller to others. I purchased 4 of these and they all work great.

What a neat little device ... ;)

For I2CEncoder V2 Connect multiple encoder on I2C bus

I bought the RGB encoder and couldn't be happier. It took me a while to get the hang of it (i am no coder), but wow... now i can see all the possibilities!!! The main reason i bought it was to have a "bounceless device" and it sure delivers ... without any additional combersome complex coding. The encoder is used in my PID temperature controller project. It allows me to access several screens and to increase and decrease several parameters (setpoint, output, Auto/manual, kP, ki, KD) all this with "one" encoder. The RGB led feedback is very usefull. This is a keeper.

I originally ordered the regular encoder and i changed my mind and got great customer service. Also shipping was very fast from Italy to Canada.

quite a nice piece of hardware

For I2C Encoder: connect rotary encoders on i2c bus

The board is neat and easily assembled. It works flawless with wemos mini d1 (base/pro), and survived my soldering skill too!

The documentation is functional but essential, there would be space for a couple more examples but nothing that cannot be worked on.

On top of this there is the communication with Simone. Blazing fast responses and a lot of willingness to help with every little detail, from customization to the shipment. A must.

Far smaller than expected.

For Debug Board USB to RS232 Isolated Serial Converter

The debug board is far smaller than I'd expected it to be, although the 0.1 in connector should give that away.
It is very well made, and works as expected.
Having a real FTDI chip makes interfacing to all host systems (linux,windows,mac) easy and reliable.

Great isolated UART

For Debug Board USB to RS232 Isolated Serial Converter

I purchased several to communicate with microcontrollers in an analog design where the microcontroller's ground was not Earth ground. This converter allows safe communication between the PC and the microcontroller. The product works great, required no setup and was working immediately. Was going to design my own version before I found these. Only complaint is that time from order until receipt in US was over 1 month.
