Device does not work; bought two and neither work
For GreenThumb - WiFi Soil moisture sensor (Gen 2.0)
I bought 2 of these devices to monitor moisture reading in my garden. They arrived reasonably fast, within a week. The enclosures are 3d printed, This is not a bad thing and I actually like it because I can replace it if they broke.
My issue came after I had to special order the 14500 and the charger to find out that this product does not even turn on. upon closer inspection of the circuit, you can see that the resistors and capacitors are potentially missing or in the wrong orientation.
This product sounds like a great idea, and it seems at one point they were shipping a functional device, but at this moment I'm holding almost $100 investment (Battery, Charger, 2 sensors + shipping) in moisture sensors in my hand and nothing is working.
Due to the DIY nature of this site, I'm a bit saddened by the lack of quality control for this product.

I do not have a record that you contacted us about your issue.
No capacitors and resistors are missing, some are left out as they are not needed. There is no orientation/polarity for capacitors and resistors.
Please contact us before writing a review that it doesn't work. I sold over 50 pcs and our server is registering that they are all online(except for the ones logging to their own server).
